Some people call mental health 'emotional health' or 'well-being'.
Your mental health and well-being is just as important as your physical health.
We all have times wehn we feel down or stressed or frightened. This is normal and most of the feelings just pass, but sometimes it doesn't. Everyone is different, some people bounce back where as others take some time to feel ok again.
Looking after your mental health and well-being is a daily task and part of your self-care. To do this we need to practise the 5 steps to well-being: be active, keep learning, give to others, connect with others and take notice of your emotions and your environment.
If you are concerned about managing your mental health and well-being please make a sharps report and let us know how you are feeling, or let a trusted adult know in the academy.
There is a drop in lunch club daily in our inclusion department STEPs. Drop in and see a mentor if you need some advice and support.
